Securiton has moved into a new home in Eastern Switzerland. The St. Gallen office is now housed in a modern complex and therefore no longer has to share its office space with Securitas. The new office offers plenty of space for all employees.
At the end of 1978, the former Eastern Switzerland sales office moved into the offices and warehouses at Securitas St. Gallen. These facilities were divided into two locations. Sales and administration were based on Oberer Graben, with planning, mounting and the warehouse next door on Waisenhausstrasse.
The steady growth of the office resulted in a shortage of space over the years. In addition, internal workflows became increasingly complex due to the two locations. Our intention to look for new spaces suddenly became a pressing problem with the introduction of TUS in summer 1989 in St. Gallen, which meant Securitas needed the premises for itself.
The search for a new, suitable home then began for us in earnest. We were interested in the commercial building under construction on Walenbüchelstrasse. After initial contact with the owner, the conditions proved to be ideal. The building was spacious and further expansion requests could be met during the course of construction. The accessibility by private and public transport also met our expectations. A short time later, we were able to safeguard the future of our office by signing the relevant contracts.
After two months of extensive renovation work at our old location, we were all happy to move into the new office on Walenbüchelstrasse on 1 June 1989. With a total area of 400 m2, we were able to set up beautiful, bright offices and secure the additional space required for the decentralisation of Customer Service and marketing administration, as well as keeping a reasonable amount of space in reserve. The cafeteria on the top floor and the generous number of parking spaces round off the plus points seen at our new home. After an intensive period of relocation and acclimatisation, work can now start in earnest in the new year.
