The markets to the east of Switzerland hold a great deal of potential for Securiton. Securiton has already been present in Eastern Europe since the end of 2006 with Securiton Slovakia. This will be followed at the end of 2007 by the Hungarian Securiton Kft.
Securiton Slovakia
Two years after the company was founded, Anton Galik's company specialised exclusively in the sale of Securiton products. In the years that followed, the close cooperation between Anton Galik and Securiton ensured that the Securiton brand and the corresponding products were made known in Slovakia. Today they are regarded throughout the country as a guarantee of professional security.
Anton Galik has countless interesting and prestigious reference projects to his name. For example, the "Securitel" intrusion and fire alarm system has been installed in most of Slovakia's post offices and provides appropriate protection for all post office employees and customers in the country. A large number of Slovakian banks have been equipped with Securiton burglar alarm control panels. Anton Galik describes the building of the Slovakian National Bank as a highlight of his activities. This building with 33 storeys and six underground floors was protected with SecuriPro® against both fire and burglary.
New chapter
After more than 14 years of successful cooperation with Securiton AG, a new phase of collaboration has been ushered in. The existing joint venture agreement became the new company Securiton Slovakia s.r.o. in Banská Bystrica in the heart of Slovakia.
Securiton Hungary
The name Securiton has been a household name in Hungary for decades. The successful cooperation with the partner there began back in the days of the Iron Curtain. The cooperation has now become a family affiliation, Securiton Kft (Ltd) is now part of the Securitas Group.
The Hungarian Securiton story begins in 1975, when Hekatron's scattered light detectors were the first of their kind to be approved in Hungary. Since 1983, the partner there has been installing Securiton's fire alarm control panels and optical smoke detectors under the management of Gabor Balazs. Once the optical smoke detector had been approved by the Hungarian authorities, an incredible success story began. At that time, the competition was still relying on ionisation detectors, while Securiton relied on the new, environmentally friendly technology based on scattered light. This system was sold, installed and serviced for 20 years. In 1996, SecuriPro®, the modular fire detection system was introduced (1400 detectors were installed at the Hungarian T-COM headquarters) and Securiton's success on the Hungarian market increased once again.
Logical consequence
With the SecuriRAS® smoke aspiration system and the SecuriSens® linear heat detector, other top-class Securiton products have also become established on the Hungarian market over the past 10 years. Gabor Balazs and his team have been able to integrate Securiton applications into numerous well-known buildings. References include the Chancellery, premises of T-Mobile, Vodaphone, Novotel, Hilti, Unilever, British American Tobacco, GE-Money Bank, Morgan Stanley, the Hungarian Foreign Trade Bank, the Hungarian State Opera, the Hungarian National Museum and many more.
Due to these successes and the good personal relationship, Gabor Balazs and Securiton AG decided on a joint future under the same name and brand. Securiton Kft was established in Budapest in May 2007. In September the merger was made public in Hungary at a celebratory event in Budapest's Intercontinental Hotel. Together with long-term customers, consultants, authorities and friends, the successful future of Securiton Kft was toasted in the presence of Samuel Spreng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Securitas Group, and Hans Winzenried, CEO of the Securitas Group.
