2012 Fire protection for smaller objects and new fire detectors

Securiton AG attaches great importance to innovative spirit and constantly launches new products on the market. The latest example is the SecuriFire 500 premium fire detection system. It offers the same functions as the previous SecuriFire fire alarm systems. In terms of its design, it is particularly suitable for smaller objects such as holiday homes or care homes. There are also new additions to the successful SecuriStar fire detector range. The latest generation of combined smoke and heat detectors detects and reports incipient fires with unprecedented reliability and precision. The new CCD 573X CO detector even detects carbon monoxide, while the MCD 573X-S combined detector also draws attention to the danger with an integrated audible alarm transmission.

SecuriFire 500

SecuriFire 500 is an ideal addition to Securiton’s current range of fire detection systems and sets new standards in user-friendliness. For the first time, the premium system can be controlled from anywhere using a remote control function. Non-stop monitoring of the system states is possible via smartphone or tablet. The SecuriFire 500 indication and control map is faithfully reproduced on the mobile devices. Secure mobile network connections and an integrated IP interface enable secure access to the fire alarm system from near and far.

But SecuriFire 500 can do even more. The fire detection system is suitable for SMEs and smaller institutions, and uses state-of-the-art technology. It detects fires at lightning speed as early as the incipient phase. With permanent self-test routines, the system ensures maximum availability around the clock. What’s more, the 5.7-inch colour TFT display offers a great deal of convenience and clarity. The new SecuriWheel allows navigation through the menu. This wheel underneath the display enables users to react intuitively and correctly, even in stressful situations. After all, every second counts when there is a fire alarm.

SecuriStar

Securiton’s successful SecuriStar product is constantly being further developed. The combined smoke and heat detectors detect smouldering, glowing and open fires with smoke development at an early stage. Using Cubus levelling, the smoke sensitivity adjusts to the ambient conditions in the room. The heat sensor also detects fires without smoke development in the event of a rapid fire with high temperatures. Until now, fire detectors have combined smoke and temperature detection. Securiton has now gone one step further with the CCD 573X – the first standard-compliant combined CO fire detector on the market. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a dangerous gas that is difficult to detect, and is produced by the incomplete combustion of substances containing carbon. It is colourless, odourless and tasteless and is therefore not noticed when people are asleep, which puts them at risk of fatal poisoning. Ideally, the combined detectors in the SecuriStar line are connected to the SecuriFire fire alarm system from Securiton. SecuriFire processes the incoming data and triggers an alarm in the event of an emergency. The new MCD 573X-S combined fire detector also has a built-in audible alarm transmission. In the event of an incident, important seconds can then be gained.
