Barred windows have been protecting against unwanted visitors for centuries. In prisons, they are used to prevent break-outs. To prevent these metal gratings from being tampered with, Securiton equips them with Jailtec. The sophisticated monitoring system quickly and reliably sends an alarm when the slightest change is detected.
Metal bars in front of windows prevent intruders from entering houses, thus protecting people and property. Thick bars also make it difficult for prison inmates to take the opposite route – namely to break out. However, as has been seen time and again, breaking through the bars with the right tool can make the window accessible. With Jailtec, Securiton offers a system for hollow gratings that prevents precisely this from happening.
No way through
In the Jailtec system from Securiton, each hollow grating has its own evaluation module. This is connected via an incoming and outgoing air line. The evaluation unit continuously monitors the air volume in the closed system consisting of hollow gratings and lines. As soon as even the slightest change in air volume is detected, the evaluation unit immediately sets off an alarm signal. In addition, Jailtec detects all attempts at sabotage. In this way, the system reports every conceivable attempt to remove a grating reliably and in good time.
Security for high-risk properties
Jailtec from Securiton can be integrated into any common alarm system and building management system. This makes it ideal for use in prisons, industrial companies with high-security requirements, banks and other high-security buildings. Thanks to its seamless availability and short reaction times, the system effectively prevents break-ins and break-outs.
